Hair transplant surgery is a procedure in which your plastic or dermatological surgeon moves your healthy hair to a bald region of your head. It is typically performed at the medical office and under local anaesthesia.
Thin or no hair affects a person’s self-esteem to the core. Fortunately, Alpha Hospital keeps up with new medical advancements and technical equipment. Our panel of the well-accomplished medical team makes sure the patient receives all the care and support they need to achieve the best treatment results.
At Alpha Hospital, there are two primary techniques used to obtain follicles for transplantation
- FUT: In Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT) your surgeon will cut out a several inches long strip of your scalp skin from the back of your head. The strip is then separated into small sections and implanted over the bald region. Post-treatment, you will attain a healthy natural-looking hair.
- FUE: In Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) the surgeon makes tiny holes using needles or blades in the region where you need a transplant. The holes are then filled with hairs and covered with bandage, gauze or graft for a few days.
Patients who have had hair transplant will continue to grow hairs on their transplanted scalp. Depending on the following factors, your hair may occur less or denser:
- How loose your natural scalp is?
- The density of follicles in the transplanted scalp region
- Quality of hair
- Curls of hair
